Friday Features #1

Friday Features is something new that I am introducing – It will be a day where you can ask random questions and we will reply?  The questions do have to be design related i.e. furniture placement, paint colors,  staging,  etc…From the question’s asked we will randomly pick one winner and  give away  one free furniture placement floor plan.  (You will have to provide the size of the room and the approx location of windows and doors).  We will design a floor plan accordingly.

Today, I am featuring  Blue and White….When I think blue and white, I think of my mother who always wears blue and white stripes so very French! I think Hampton’s, Beach, Summer, Hydrangea’s, Ralph Lauren, Luxury, Uniforms,  Relaxation, collections and team colors…

Blue represents both the sky and the sea, and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, heaven, and intelligence.

White is color at its most complete and pure, the color of perfection. The color meaning of white is purity, innocence, wholeness and completion.  Combine the two and you can’t go wrong..

The complements of blue are:

Blue with Naturals

Blue with Silver

Blue and Orange

Blue and Red

Blue and Yellow

Have some fun with the blues…… enjoy your weekend and I’ll be back on Monday!

You just bought a new home!

So many people are moving out of the crowded cities and buying homes at the Jersey Shore, due to the unpredictable pandemic and being able to work from home. The first question is, what do we bring with us, what do we donate, sell or throw out? The second question, will must likely be ;” Is my apartment furniture going to fit into my new home at the Jersey Shore?
